Happy Labor Day weekend

Happy Labor Day!

I hope you all enjoy your long weekend! We are starting to get in the swing of things and finding our groove! I pray the kids are having a smooth transition and getting in a routine as well! 

     

Upcoming dates and Reminders:

No school Friday or Monday! Enjoy the long weekend! 

School Pictures: September 7, please return your Childs form by then! 

MAP TESTING: We will be doing our MAP testing on September 6 and 7. Please send your child's headphones by then. We will send them home with them after until we need them again in January! 

Parent night: If you missed parent night please make sure you stop in to sign a few forms and pick up some paper work

Hearing Testing: November 13 is when we are scheduled to do hearing testing. We walk over to the middle school for this. 

Parent Volunteers: We will be looking for reading volunteers starting September 11. This will be from 2:30-3:10. We have a lot of parents who like to do an every other week too. Please me me know if you are interested and how often you would like to do it. Please pencil your name in HERE . This will be from September-December. 

Progress Report: Please keep working with your child! We can see so much growth already! Please let me know if you have any questions with what you should be working on with your child! here

Week 2!

 Dear Parents, 

It has been an absolute Joy being with your children. Anna and I are having so much fun seeing each child's personality come to life! We have an amazing group of kids this year and I am so excited to watch them grow!! 

Upcoming Dates and Reminders:

Big Adventure: Friday August 25 ! You do not need to report to school tomorrow. We will all meet up north around 10:00-10:15. Please leave your house accordingly. We will plan to all be home around 3:15 for those who have other kids to pick up from school! The address is 

6888 S Masten Rd Branch MI 49402. 

Make sure you have the one in Branch MI!! There are 2 Masten Rds. 

What to bring?

- Water bottle 

- sunscreen/bug spray 

- Water shoes or boots 

- Fishing pole if you have one! If not we will have a couple to share! 

Convocation: Our all school chapel takes place next Wednesday August 30 at 9am in the high school football field. Parents are welcome to join!

Parent night is Monday August 28 at 5pm in our classroom. It should not last much longer than 30 minutes! 

Picture Day: Picture forms came home today and will need to be returned with your child to school by September 7th. Pictures are typically taken right away in the morning so the kids are still semi-clean If you would like your child to change after photos please send a play outfit and we can change them after!

Welcome!

Dear Parents,
I am so excited for you to experience the JOY in the forest this year! I am so thankful to partner with all of you. I pray your child has an amazing year! I can not wait to watch them grow and find God in all that we do! This year our school theme is FAITH LIKE A CHILD. I am excited to unwrap this theme with your children together. I am praying your child falls in love with the Lord and listens to him speak in all that we do. I am excited to learn from each of them and grow together.

Big Adventure Details: 

big adventure is on August 25 and will be the length of a school day with driving included. We are asking you to try and arrive between 10:00-10:15. It is about an hour and a half up north depending where you are coming from. We will be fishing, catching frogs, hiking, grilling out, and singing songs. We will plan to leave by 1:30/1:45 to be home by 3:15/30 ish!

First Day:

- good walking/playing shoes 

- a change of clothes in a labeled bag. These will stay at school for any accident so pick clothes you are okay with staying at school. We will switch them out when the weather changes. 

We plan to spend the day outside playing and getting to know each other! 

you do not need to take your oakie suit to school yet, but may if you would like. Make sure your child's name is inside of it!

Please join me in prayer, boldly asking God for His blessing on this upcoming school year.  God is good and I know He hears the prayers of His children. I stand in expectant anticipation of how He will work in and through us and each of your beautiful children as we run a leg of this race together.
