 Upcoming Dates and Reminders: 

Fall Break: We have our fall break next week! We have a half day Wednesday and no school Thursday and Friday! We will be sending all gear home over break. This is a great time to wash/check if there are any holes! Make sure oakie is washed with water only inside out and hung dry. Some detergents will make them no longer waterproof.

Math: 
Another math packet will be sent home on Monday but will not need to be returned until after break! Thank you for keeping up on this at home! Let me know if you have any questions! 

Letter Report: 

We had so much growth with CVC words! This is going to make strong readers!!! If your child Mastered a skill please still practice once a week so they stay strong! We added counting by 2s,1s,5s, doubles and make a ten to the sheet as well! These are great to practice in the car/while getting ready! (These are all tested verbally, I know some kid scan do them writing but not verbally) Please reach out if you are confused about the letter report and I am more than willing to explain! I attached some how to videos so you can see how we teach them at school!

Gym Shoes: 

We are about at that time of year where we will need gym shoes brought to school. Please send your child with gym shoes to leave at school. We have a big bin of them and will pull them out so you do not have to remember to take them on gym days. If you would like to take yours back and forth instead of leaving a pair here that is fine too, just let me know! 

Firewood:

Does anyone have extra firewood? We would love to get our stash going for the colder months! If you know of anyone with wood to donate please reach out!! We will be so thankful on cold days! 

New change of Clothes: 

As the weather changes please change out your Childs extra set of clothing. Dry socks are always great to have in wet months! A lot of you did this at conferences, thank you!! 

An Invitation:  HC Youth Youth Volleyball Night  Join us as we cheer on our HC Varsity volleyball team as they play against Coopersville.  Tuesday, October 17 at 6:00 PM in the HC High School gym.  Go Maroons!! (Child gets in free with paid adult or adult sports pass)
