 Upcoming Dates and Reminders: 

Homework: 

Please let me know if your child is struggling with math! They are doing great in class with this! We are also reading phonic books in class and really working on sounding out/ looking for word patterns in books! This is a great thing to do with your child at night! 

- We did not test writing our red words today due to the wet weather, I updated the rest of the letter report! Keep working on reading and writing red words! We will be sure to test writing them next week! 

Tree Tapping: 

With this amazing weather we have been having we started our tree tapping unit! We will be collecting sap over the next month or so and going through the process of making syrup. We will celebrate with a pancake party at the end! We are working on our first batch now! Feel free to ask your child questions about this process! 

Chicks: 

Another fun unit we do in Kindergarten is hatching chicks! We will start this the week after spring break. The process takes 21 days and then we like to keep the babies in our room for a few weeks! If you are interested in chickens please let me know!!! We are looking for families to take them once we are done with them! We can not guarantee how many we will have but please let me know if you are interested or know of anyone interested!! We currently have 2 spoken for!

Grandparents Day

Is now set for May 3 in the morning!

Maternity Leave: 

Anna will be taking over when I step away for a few weeks, along with Jamie! The routine will stay the same for the most part! Anna will be sending our blogs and emails! Here is her phone number if you do not have it saved already :)
